Dream Tank Submission Guidelines
ELIGIBILITY:
Dream Team Engineering’s 2025 Dream Tank competition is open to teams of all sizes and composed of students from all majors.

IMPORTANT DATES:
Dream Tank Applicant Round (Online): Feb. 12, 2025 - Mar. 1, 2025
Teams will submit a ~3 minute initial video pitching their innovative technological idea. Entries must be received by 11:59 PM (EST) on March 1st, 2025.
Judging Period (Online): Mar. 2, 2025 - Mar. 7, 2025
An esteemed panel of judges—including experts in innovation, entrepreneurship, and healthcare technology—will score each team’s pitch and record feedback. Finalist teams will be notified of advancement to the final round.
Dream Tank Final Event (In-Person, Invite-Only): Mar. 8, 2025
Finalist teams will attend an on-campus event to present a live, ~10 minute pitch followed by a 5 to 10 minute Q&A session with judges.
Final Presentations: Teams will pitch their ideas and receive live feedback from industry professionals.
Expert Networking: Competitors will have the opportunity to connect with judges, alumni, and industry leaders in MedTech and entrepreneurship.

Awards & Recognition: Winning teams will be selected based on their final presentations. Select teams will also gain access to:

Potential collaboration with Dream Team Engineering to further develop their idea.

SUBMISSION:

Initial recorded pitch submissions must be no longer than 3 minutes.

Pitches should clearly present a problem, propose a solution, and explain the broader impact in relation to healthcare and engineering.

There are no strict format requirements, but pitches should be structured to align with the focus areas—medicine and technology—of the competition.

SCORING CRITERIA:
CONFIDENTIALITY AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:

All submitted information remains the property of the participating teams. However, confidentiality is not guaranteed—teams should avoid disclosing proprietary or sensitive information.

All submitted work must be the original work of team members or appropriately licensed work of others.
Dream Team Engineering does not claim ownership over any submitted ideas but encourages participants to take necessary precautions for intellectual property protection.
